This web presentation is part of a summer project funded by Truman State University. Professor Tamakoshi intends using "The Anthropologist in the Field" as a way of deepening students' appreciation and understanding of fieldwork. Drawing on her early fieldwork experiences, Professor Tamakoshi shows fieldwork to be challenging yet within our means. By putting this work on the web she hopes to encourage her students to become familiar with new media. Students will be tested by having to do their own mock proposals, making use of concepts and techniques learned from the presentation.
